Mission Statement
Danceloop Chicago seeks to embody the movement and rhythm of the human
experience through the choreography of Paula Frasz.
Vision
DanceLoop Chicago aims to become one of the top dance companies in Chicago by:
- Assembling a company of artists remarkable for creativity, personality, and technique
- Ensuring that the quality of the music matches the high quality of the dance and, whenever possible, emphasizing live music and original, collaborative composition.
- Developing a growing audience and a reputation for performing consistently high-quality, creative, intelligent, and accessible dance
- Producing and presenting full-evening DanceLoop concerts
- Becoming a regular, featured participant at Chicago dance festivals
- Inviting guest artists (dancers, choreographers, composers, and musicians) to collaborate with the company
- Broadening the company's geographic range by performing outside of Chicago: throughout Illinois, nationally, and internationally
- Demonstrating entrepreneurial savvy. Achieving financial stability through a variety of revenue sources (ticket sales, donations and contributed income, arts education contracts, and other ventures) and through sound fiscal management. Hiring a full-time administrator to manage the company. Attracting and sustaining an exemplary board of directors that engages in effective governance and oversight.
